Meet Our Instructors
Rose Ryan, Aerobics Coordinator for Health Time Fitness, has her Suffolk University Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice. Her certifications include AFAA, CPR, MADD DOGG, FITOUR and Yoga Fit Level One. Her hobbies include being with her family, playing with her two and three year old children, health, fitness, travel and sports (especially Red Sox and Patriot’s). The classes she teaches include cardio/box, muscle, spin, Pilates, and step. She is Vice- President of Research for a full service investigative firm and absolutely loves her jobs and the companies she works for. She equally loves working with a variety of people and trying to keep them motivated through fitness and health.
Michele Penta is an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor. She teaches step, muscle conditioning, kickboxing, high-low and boot camp. Having completed her Level 1 training with YogaFit, Michele also teaches Vinyasa style Yoga. Currently Michele is receiving private training with Sensei Rick Alford, a Black Belt holder in three disciplines to fine tune her kickboxing form and skills to further enhance her classes. Michelle is a Mother of two and self professed “gym rat”. She has been teaching for a little over two years but has been active in taking group fitness classes since the late eighties. Her love of music, movement, and fitness naturally led her to becoming and instructor, finally after leaving her full time job to stay home with her children. “I understand the challenges we all have when it comes to making time for ourselves; we have so much competition for our time. I try to make sure each class I teach is worth the member’s time, is fun, and makes them want to come back again. I truly love my job.”
Sandy Griffin is a Certified Pathways Level 1 Yoga Instructor. She became interested in the field while being pregnant with her last child and started participating in Yoga classes to ease the discomfort of labor and delivery. Her training includes in depth study of the breath and how it can influence your health and stress level. Her other areas of interest include the environment, nutrition and naturopathic medicine.
Martina Doucette has been teaching aerobics for the past thirteen years. She enjoys teaching kickboxing, high-low aerobics, step, muscle conditioning and her personal favorite, spin. If you don’t see her in the aerobics studio you can find her not too far away in the weight room. She firmly believes that strength training should be a consistent part of every woman’s workout routine.
Anthony Cefalo has his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and his Master’s degree in Accounting. At the end of every day at his full time job in International Finance, he can’t wait to get to the gym! He teaches cardio, box, muscle and spin and is AFAA and CPR certified. In his personal life, he loves spending time at his mini-farm where he has his own garden and chickens! His favorite family event is his family wine-making day. He speaks Italian, as lot of his family still resides and Italy. He loves talking to people about health, fitness, life and helping people achieve their goals.
Sheri Walsh is a Fitness Consultant and Group Exercise Instructor. Her certifications include: Johnny G Spin Instructor, AFAA Group Exercise Instructor and International Red Cross CPR. She teaches spin, intro to cycling, power funk aerobics, boot camp, kickboxing, weight training, stretch and flex and senior fitness. She has over eight years outdoor cycling experience. Sheri is a Mad Dog Athletics, AFAA and TSI continuing program and conferences participant with ore than five years group exercise instruction and experience. She is also a volleyball and soccer player/coach referee, competitive ski team racer, military physical training group leader and has completed coursework in nutrition service studies.
